Job Title: Casual Social Media Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and creative Casual Social Media Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, knowledgeable about current trends and platforms, and eager to contribute innovative ideas to our online presence.

This is a part-time, casual position, suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in social media marketing while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.

Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. This may involve writing copy, sourcing images or videos, and designing graphics.

  2. Community Engagement: Monitor and engage with our social media audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner. Foster meaningful interactions with followers to build a loyal and active community.

  3. Scheduling and Posting: Assist in scheduling and posting content across social media channels using management tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social. Ensure that posts are optimized for each platform and aligned with our content calendar and marketing objectives.

  4. Social Media Analytics: Help track and analyze key performance metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, and follower growth. Compile regular reports summarizing social media performance and provide insights to inform future strategies and campaigns.

  5. Trend Research: Stay updated on the latest trends, features, and best practices in social media marketing. Explore new platforms and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

  6. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives and campaigns. Collaborate with other departments as needed to support cross-functional projects and promotions.

  7. Administration: There will be some administration work required. For example invoicing, keeping track of payments and sending statements. 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in social media management or marketing is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with a strong interest in social media and a willingness to learn.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.

  • Proficiency in using social media platforms, analytics tools, scheduling software. & design tools would be a benefit but not necessary as training will be provided.

  • Creativity and a passion for storytelling through visual and written content.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
